DIY Spray Deodorant

Smell Fresh With Homemade Spray Deodorant

If you're tired of tossing down cash for a name-brand deodorant that contains ingredients that you can't even pronounce, make your own for around $1. You might be surprised with the ingredients, but this wonderful spray can be used when you're fresh from the shower or if you're feeling like you might be emitting an undesirable scent during the day. It's this simple:

  1. Measure equal parts vodka and distilled water into a small spray bottle. You can scent it with five to 10 drops of your favorite essential oil, such as lemongrass, lavender, or rose.
  2. Give things a shake, and your deodorant is ready to use! Selecting cheap vodka keeps cost down, and the small amount of essential oil won't stain your clothes. The vodka miraculously refreshes underarms by evaporating away scents, and leaves you wonderfully fresh.

And you won't smell like you just downed a shot while in the bathroom — really. This spray deodorant can be used directly under arms or on clothing. But be warned: if you spritz it on after shaving, it might tingle for a few seconds. Stash a small spray bottle in your purse to use when out and about. Think of it as your special, secret fresh-smelling weapon.
