Do You Eat Grocery Food Samples?

I always see people take some bites of a sample at a supermarket, then walk away without buying anything. When you don't have any intention of buying the delectable products, do you still take a bite of their samples?

Not usually. I'm a pretty selective eater and I don't eat a lot of the stuff they offer for sampling. Sometimes I will try something if I want to see if it's good, though.

yes! the point of samples is to try something new so you'll buy the product. Plus I'd rather try a sample and know I don't like something than spend money on a whole package (especially at Costco!) and only figuring it out after I've spent the money and brought it home.

uh, yeah! costco has tons of samples all the time, and people are lined up for them sometimes, too! sometimes it makes me buy a product i wouldn't have in the first place, which is the point. they want people to try the product who have no intention of buying it so that they can change their minds!

Absolutely! That's what they are for! Plus, the grocery store I go to for samples hosts different "days" like one day will be apples and so they will make different recipes to showcase the apples. You can't actually buy the recipes pre-made, but they are trying to get you to buy the apples! If it is a food I like, I buy it, if it is something I don't I won't!
