Do You Work to Live, or Live For Work?

Oxygen's new series Jersey Couture chronicles the life of a New Jersey family that runs a women's formal wear boutique. If you haven't seen it yet, think big hair, big attitude, and big family business drama. Older sister Kimberly is often spotted running the show at the shop and "living for work," while sister Christina gawks at her sis and says she "works to live." Striving for a healthy work-life balance is a struggle for many but can be even more challenging when your stake in your job is high. It's an all too common dilemma for people who run family businesses or new employees striving to prove their worth. What's your main work-life motto?

At the moment I'm work to live, but I've just taken a new job so hopefully I'll be swapping to live to work soon!

Live to work. I NEED things to do in my life, I need a project. Hobbies are a good alternative, but I haven't found my "thing" yet.

Work to live, and honestly if I could live well without working, I'd skip the work part of life altogether.

I work to live. It's important to me to make good money so I can live the way I want, but I also maintain a great work-life balance. I love my weekends and I never take work home with me.

I'm not materialistic and I value my time more than I value money, so I definitely work to live. As long as I have enough money for food and clothes, I'm good.

I'm kind of a workaholic but don't necessarily live for work. There are times when I realize that I work too much and do lighten the load at work and take it easy to enjoy the fruits of my labor.
