Biggest Work Gripe of 2010: Salary

As we're entering the New Year, our Best of 2010 coverage is a great reflection of what the year has been like for you. I asked you what you were the most dissatisfied this year with your career, and the most common answer was salary. While 25 percent of you felt like you deserved to be paid more, the next popular gripe seems to be dealing with bosses — 14 percent of you had issues with your boss. Having a good boss is definitely crucial to being happy at work, because a good manager can help you stay motivated and make you want to excel.

People were also unhappy with being overworked, 13 percent of you felt like you were working too much. It's really important to have a healthy work-life balance, and perhaps we can work together to help you figure out ways on to have a better work-life balance in 2011. My work gripe poll seemed to be pretty popular, so I'm wondering if many of you are thinking of looking for a new job. Are you satisfied where you are or are you thinking of moving on?
