Pictures won't do this natural wonder justice. The Grand Prismatic Spring [1], located in Yellowstone National Park, is famous for its beautiful colors. The hot spring (the biggest in America) is colorful because of the heat-loving bacteria that lives in the water [2]. They produce hues ranging from green to red.
You can hike the Fairy Falls Trail [3] in the park to view the spring. Just make sure to pay attention to the signs and pathways — it's dangerous to get too close because the water is 160 degrees. That's hot! Check out all the beautiful photos of this incredible sight.
