How Much Would Your Company's Mug Go For?

How Much Would Your Company's Mug Go For?

Down-and-out Lehman Brothers ex-employees know that selling stuff online is a quick way to raise cash, and wasted no time in posting company memorabilia on eBay. And people are bidding! Take this up-for-grabs company mug, which is already going for more than $80!

After the way things turned out, I wouldn't want nostalgic company swag laying around to conjure maddening memories, either. Lehman Brothers goods aren't going for cheap! Everything from paperweights to leather mousepads (really, leather?) are the subject of surprisingly high bidding wars. Check out some of the for sale items in the gallery below.

You can buy our stuff online or in many bookstores for about $10-$15.

Even though their company left them jobless, at least it also left them some surprisingly valuable swag. Silver lining!

i think that it's funny what people will do to make money and this is just another way to show that people are creative. i don't know if i would want to buy a LB mug but i guess someone out there does. to think that the guy probably got it for free when he started at the company and now he's making over $80 - that's pretty good.

No one would bid on my stuff. Unless you are really into art galleries.

I think the only person who would buy my practice's personalized pens is someone who was desperate for a pen!

Hmmm, probably a little too self-identifying, but I still see Vioxx tissue boxes sitting around here sometimes. Maybe I should try selling them on eBay?

People always want my company's swag. I'm practically drowning in it because they love to give it to us, but I'd never sell my swag on eBay like some people do. So, uh, one of my many branded mugs currently goes for...$14.99 on eBay right now. I've got a few shirts that some collectors would probably pay a mint for.

People actually do collect things from my company on ebay I've noticed. Not mugs, but signs go for around 2, 3, or $400 dollars. Its a historical thing I guess, we're a pretty old co.
