Tickets to Europe Will Soon Be Cheaper Than Your Gym Membership

Oct 8 2015 - 9:35am

In a recent interview with the International Business Times [1], Norwegian Air CEO Bjorn Kjos outlined plans to offer one-way flights to Europe at a seriously low, new cost; $69, to be exact. Round-trip tickets will probably be closer to $300 — still making it a bargain, considering most transatlantic flights start at $500.

Kjos said Norwegian Air will be making it possible by operating out of smaller airports that have lower fees, like New York's Westchester County Airport and Connecticut's Bradley International Airport, for example. The only downside: we might have to keep relying on our trusty travel hacks [2] until 2017, when Kjos expects for this to materialize. We'll be waiting.
