Things to Do on Vacation

Do You Buy Souvenirs on Trips?

I like to take home a little piece of my trip with me. It doesn't have to be something big or expensive, it can be just a small trinket. For example, on my trips I've bought things like silly shirts, costume jewelry, pillows, and cups. They are very simple things, but will give me lasting memories of my wonderful time away from home. What about you — do you buy souvenirs on your vacations?

Please...PLEASE do not buy items made from seashells. If you have ever seen the ocean floor after it was raped to make little items for tourists....it would sicken you.

If I'm going to a place I have never been, definitely. But my husband and I go to the same beach a few times a year, I don't need to buy anything there!

I try to get things that are usable, like pens or bottle openers, and sometimes I get tiny things like key rings for friends. The one thing I get a lot that I don't use it shot glasses. They're on display in a case.

I like to buy something nice for my home that i can display. Then when someone comments on it I can be like "Oh, I got that in Fiji!" Plus it reminds me of the great times I had :)
