Which Sex and the City Career Would You Want Most?

A more difficult question might be which Sex and the City character’s wardrobe would you choose, but I’m wondering: Whose work shoes would you step into if you had the opportunity?

Carrie's. I always want to be a published author. My current job is IT though...

Carrie's job is essentially Charlotte's job with a couple of hours of work every week. They both can wake up whenever they want to and basically do whatever they want to during the day. Carrie's only obligation is to write one sex colomn each week! How long must that take, a few hours each week! The rest of the time she is partying or having lunch with her girlfriends or shopping or hanging out with her new man! Sounds awesome to me!

I'd like Charlotte's old job -- gallery director. Perfection. But, I have Miranda's job. Damn my practical streak.

I'd love to have Charlotte's job but any of them would be really great. If I could write and make constant money than I'd definitely pick that but it's pretty unpredictable out there.

Definitely PR because of all the fabulous events that you could attend and all the fabulous people you would meet.

I would have to say it's a toss up between Carrie and Samantha, probably leaning more towards Carrie. I'd love to write her column and of course would love the fact that I would work when and where I wanted! On the other hand I love the hustle and bustle of PR as well as the clientele - that would be an amazing job as well. I guess the hours and free time of Carrie's job break the tie of which one I'd take!

Definitely Carrie's! I'm a writer (poetry/short stories) and have been since I was 17 so that would be ideal for me!

I got into print journalism because of Carrie, but I was also an art history major when I started out, so either Carrie's or Charlotte's careers are great for me.

Charlotte. Actually, I sort of have her lifestyle, and I love it.

Carrie's for sure. I give great advice. (just not for myself, ha)

Carrie, definitely. I'd love to be a paid writer and support myself, and my spending habits aren't as outrageous as hers, so I'm sure I'll save. I'd honestly hate to have Charlotte's, I wouldn't feel very productive and I'm honestly not very family oriented when it comes to the idea of making my own.

I'd love to be paid to write my opinion.

I'd have to say Charlotte. I'd love to volunteer in doing something that not only I love but helps in return.

I hate to admit that I love the competitive aspect to my job so I would say Miranda or Samantha. But really, I would like something more sales-ish.

Wow - I'm one of the few who likes my job in education better than all the "glamor" options. Not that those aren't all great jobs, mind you, but still...just seems surprising that so few people said "hey. I'm good." I guess that's the point of a SATC poll, tho.

Well I would love to work in Public Affairs - which is PR for the policital set

well, Charlotte used to work at an art gallery, and lord knows i'd love that job... but a lady of leisure who volunteers is not half bad either :-) she's also my favorite character - so girlie and lady-like... i don't care if she's a bit prudish!! je,j e

Attorney would be great and is in my future plans. However, I would love to be a gallery manager like Charlotte was at the start of the show. Before her life of leisure and volunteer work she was a career minded woman as well.

I'm a lawyer now but it's not what I would pick out of these fabulous options -- Charlotte all the way!

I'm going to law school so (fingers crossed) in three years, I'll be an attorney. However, I do NOT want to be Miranda, I just want her job. :)
