i would have to say the judge. i feel like court reporters get a bad rep kind of like the papps (although papps deserve it). judges have more power and the final say which is a great power trip

The photo here shows a man reporting outside of a Court. Are we talking about an actual Court reporter that transcribes trial's and hearings? Or are we talking about a news reporter that stands outside of the Court and covers whats comes out of the courthouse?

Funny, when I was in law school working as a law clerk I would tell everyone that every court reporter I spoke to was so happy and friendly (unlike most court workers). They would have long convos with me about why they loved their jobs, which I asked because a friends mom was in school for this. Definitely seem to be happy and hear interesting things most days.
