I don't have a problem saying No. I used to, but I've since overcome it thankfully.

I think it is dependant on the situation, but overall I have trouble saying no!

i think its been two years now but im still recovering from my huge inability to saying no. i had 4 part time jobs and couldnt say no to helping out more. i ran myself down to the bone and am still recovering. its took a lot of work to get out of them and say no when asked to help out still. im finally down to one job and an occasional fill in at one of the others but my current boss knows i have problems saying no so they are nice enough to not push me if not needed. plus the economy is helping, there just isnt money to pay me to do more so i dont get asked.

It depends on the situtation. I have a really hard time saying no to my family. At work, it depends who is asking and what they are asking. Social situtations, I have no problem saying no. Especially when money is tight.

Sometimes @ work. If people ask for my help, I have trouble saying no. To social invitations, if I can't fit it in my schedule or it's not economically feasible, then... I can say NO.

If work were to ask me I'd probably say yes since I probably wouldn't mind but as far as social activities with friends and such with how tight money is I have ZERO problem saying no and expecting my friends to understand, most aren't living on one paycheck with no help so I'd like to think they'd understand my situation.

It's hard for me to say no at work just because since this economy is so bad (and anyone can be let go for any reason now) I just don't want to put my job in jeopardy.

it really depends on the situation. when i know that i'm just going to cancel on people, then i say no up front since i know myself really well. when it comes to work, i try not to say no since i know that it's such a hard environment right now that you don't want to be seen as the person who's not a team player.
