While many college students end up changing what they decide to study (I've been there!), trying to pick the best major from the start is helpful, especially if you want to go to graduate school or have to take a lot of specific classes to graduate [2] with a certain degree.
If you're not sure what major is best for you [3], that's OK! You're definitely not alone [4], and trying out different subjects to see what sparks your passions is a big part of what college is all about (you do not have to have it figured out right away). While you probably don't want to think only about your zodiac sign when making that decision, using it as a starting point can be fun and informative! Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Public Health
As humanitarians who are rational and find normalcy boring, the Aquarius will thrive as public health majors. With the ever-changing nature of health [6], science, and disease, a career in public health is probably never mundane, either!
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20): Education
Pisces make amazing education majors. They're imaginative, dreamy, and in tune with their emotions, which are all characteristics of an outstanding teacher [7]. As student-teachers, they'll easily be able to create fun and educational activities, all while supporting their students effectively.
Aries (March 21-April 19): Criminal Justice
Channel your inner Olivia Benson [8], Aries sign, because you'd make amazing criminal justice majors. You have a direct, competitive, take-charge personality and you're not afraid of conflict. Because of that, you'd have no problem tackling intimidating situations and seeking justice.
Taurus (April 20-May 20): Computer Science
As logical and grounded people, Tauruses should consider majoring in computer science. They're intelligent, know what they're doing, and will like the stability and predictability that comes with a science-based field. Plus, when my laptop isn't working, I know I want a dependable Taurus to help me fix it as quickly as possible!
Gemini (May 21-June 20): Communications
We need Geminis to major in communications! They're perceptive, charismatic, and curious, and they can meet the energy of a room well. With characteristics like these, they'll know how to communicate with others in an effective way that helps people feel understood and content. And because communications is such a large umbrella, the career possibilities here are really endless.
Cancer (June 21-July 22): Art History
Cancers, look into art history as a potential major! As a sign that's highly emotional and a lover of tradition and old art forms [9], you'll probably find art history right up your alley. In this major, you'll be able to enjoy historical paintings and other artwork, all while diving into your perspectives and intuitions about their meaning. Plus, since old art can't change, your studies will have some stability.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22): Theatre Arts
As the theatrical and captivating sign, Leos make skilled actors and theatre arts majors. They'll be able to perform and grow in their acting classes effortlessly, and their ambition is a surefire sign they'll find success. A Leo's charisma, talent, and personality will get them far in this major, and you should be excited to see where it takes you!
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Business
Virgos, we need you as business majors! With your attention to detail and perfectionistic nature, you'd be great at handling money and making sales-related decisions. They can tackle any issue that comes their way, and they'll put their entire heart into their assignments and future career.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec 21): Philosophy
Sagittarius signs, consider majoring in philosophy! As people who love learning about psychology, gaining knowledge, and exploring the unknown, your passions and strengths perfectly fit the classes you'll take. Prepare to think critically about ethical decision-making and our purpose in this world.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Biology
As responsible, disciplined leaders, Capricorns would be awesome biology majors. Since it's a harder major, their perfectionistic and dedicated nature will come in handy. I have no doubt they'll succeed and even become incredible doctors if they're interested in that path!
