Did you have a kaleidoscope as a kid? I amassed several of them over the years, and while they weren't good for endless entertainment, they were always fun to use. When I got older, I started to appreciate them and the intricate designs they create even more, and now there's an iPad app allowing you to recreate gorgeous kaleidoscope imagery on your iPad. The Annamika app ($5) for iPad allows you to touch and drag your finger across ten different rotating images, changing and manipulating each one.
Find out more about this pretty app after the break.
The application comes loaded with ten different images, each named for a city. You can also choose an image from your iPad's gallery to use. Pinch the image to zoom in, and tap twice to stop its rotation. You're also able to change the color scheme of the design, and using the iPad's video-out capability you can project the images onto any TV or screen.
If you don't have an iPad, you can download the beautiful, preloaded designs as computer wallpaper at annamika.com/wallpaper.
