Oct 26 2015 - 12:01pm

It's Friday, so naturally everyone's feeling a little more loose than usual, including The New York Times Magazine. In one simple tweet, the magazine sent the Internet into a frenzy by showing a graph of how readers felt about going back in time and killing baby Adolf Hitler.

We asked @nytmag [1] readers: If you could go back and kill Hitler as a baby, would you do it? (What's your response?) pic.twitter.com/daatm12NZC [2]

As you can imagine, the response to this tweet included jokes and snarky responses. It also caused "Baby Hitler" to start trending on Twitter.

Ok, fair enough @NYTmag [4] -- But tell me something useful; like which babies should we kill today, in the here & now? https://t.co/f8LOcwuR3b [5]

Why is it necessary to kill Hitler as a baby? Could I wait until he was at least a teenager? #babyhitler [7] @NYTmag [8]

People also connected it to the Netflix and chill meme [12].

But really, this sums up how we all feel about this semi-tasteless tweet.

*Opens Twitter*
*Sees Baby Hitler trending*
*Closes Twitter.*
*Ponders into distance, wondering what happened to humanity*
