it looks great, but I want it to pass the test of all cell phones: can I actually make a phone call on it and have it connect and be clear?

I just got this phone about a week or two ago and so far, I really like it. I went from the Cingular 8125 to the Sidekick III and missed the functionality included in Windows Mobile. As a student who's got a lot of stuff to keep a handle on, it's the best for me. According to people I've talked to, the sound quality is great, so I'm not able to complain there. My only minor complaint is the weird charger adapter. I'm used to either miniUSB or standard but this is one of their weird ones.

Oh I don't like the styling of this phone at all.. It look's very dated. I also think the navigation of Samsung phones is rubbish and I agree with skinnymarie there is nothing more annoying than a phone that echo's!.. I used to be a Sony Ericsson girl but now I've got the iPhone I'll never use anything else.. I'm a Mac girl so it's perfect for me x x

It's cute and I love the color but won't buy one.

I like the look of Blackjacks, but the fact that it runs on Windows Mobile and doesn't have any wifi makes me somewhat wary of it. For my own smartphones, I need wifi connection to use instant messangers, and a QWERTY keyboard with texting capability. I'd be more likely to trust a RIM-operated OS than a Windows operated one due to previous experince with a friend's phone who ran Windows Mobile.

I don't really like it, but I can't imagine using anything w/o a touch screen of some kind post-iPhone. I saw an ad for one recently that was like this but also had a touch screen, but I forgot what it was.

Hmmmm I dunno, it might be a good phone, but I don't think it is very appealing. Like it's just kind of plain looking, nothing too special in my opinion.

i had a samsung a few years back and i absolutly LOVED it.. and then is started messing up big time!!... however my boyfriend has one. and it has lasted for about 2 years now i think.. sooo i really think it all depends on the model, but if i was going to get any kind of smart phone it would probably be a blackberry

Althought this phone seems like a good deal, along with the SCH-i760, I wouldn't get another samsung. I have the SCH-u740 (the one Britney used shortly) and I know exactly why she got rid of it. Samsungs call quality it terrible. When I am on a call I constantly hear an echo of myself, and there is a goofy delay from the person on the other side. I also know of some other people who had samsungs and returned them for the same problems.
