As a lifelong Mac user the Mac BSOD is the worst one there is. It occurs during startup. The cute Mac chime happens and then the screen turns blue and then nothing, just a blank blue screen. It generally means that either your logic board has crashed or your hard drive has taken a dump. The SWOD (spinning wheel of death) on the Mac is just as annoying though, but at least you only have to force quit that application instead of doing a full restart.

You left out my favorite one! During the Opening Ceremonies of the Chinese Olympics there's a BSOD from underneath that huge screen that was around the top of the stadium :)
