Badass Photographer Captures Superheroes as If They Were From the Renaissance

French photographer Sacha Goldberger [1]'s latest project features pictures of your favorite heroes and villains that looks like actual oil paintings from the 16th century. How did he manage this? By expertly posing cosplayers. The series, called Super-Flemish, made its debut at the Grand Palais in Paris [2] last weekend, and boy, do we wish we could see it in person. Still, these photos will do — they're THAT good.
