Chrome-a-Lomo Ding Dong

If my tutorial sideshow about what Lomo cameras are all about gave you a sudden interest in the retro cameras, now is a good time to get in on the action — Urban Outfitters has two new Lomos in shiny, shiny chrome.

The Diana F+ Camera Chrome Edition one-ups the original black and turquoise Diana and comes in at $90 with a matching flash.

Meanwhile, the Lomography Fisheye 2 Chrome Edition, on the right ($110), is plastic like the chrome Diana, but its rendering makes it look metal, doesn't it?

actually, i would advise you to spare quite a few bucks and getting these off of eBay or another camera supply store/site. Urban Outfitters sells the Holgas, Dianas, and Fisheyes from Lomography.com stock, which is a HUGE RIPOFF. i got a brand-new Holga from eBay for $18 (plus shipping), and the "starter kit" at Urban Outfitters is $85. don't get me started on their film prices! they sell the same starter kit at Lomography.com for $70, and it's surprising to see something already outrageously priced at Lomography.com being sold at a HIGHER price at Urban Outfitters! ehh, 'tis the season to pay retail, i guess.that being said, The Husband got me the Fisheye 2 for Christmas ... from Urban Outfitters! i was a good girl and didn't ask for the recipt to get him a refund in order to pay less somewhere else. ;)

I actually just won the Fisheye one on a sweepstakes. It's really cool, I just haven't got film for it yet.
