Colorware Will Color Your iPad

Colorware Customizes the iPad

If there's a new gadget hitting stores, chances are Colorware isn't far behind, announcing they're ready to splash it with color. After all, they've colored everything from Wiis to iPhones. Now, they're taking on the iPad. If you already own one, it'll cost you $400 to have it colored. You can also buy an iPad from them directly, starting at $900 for a 16GB model with WiFi. There are nearly 50 colors of different sheens to choose from, or for an additional $250, you can request a custom color. You can choose up to three colors; one for the body, one for the Apple logo, and a third for the button.

While the idea of a bright orange iPad seems kind of incredible to me, I'm afraid my favorite color will change long before I'm ready to give up the iPad. And the price — yikes! When I'm ready to pony up the dough for an iPad, I can't imagine wanting to spend another $400 to customize it. Though, it's far less excessive and a bargain compared to this $20,000 diamond-encrusted version.

I've always wanted to Colorware my apple stuff but I just can't justify spending the amount of money they are charging for it. Also takes them 2 weeks or so to do it. I can't be without my phone for 2 weeks. Plus, I think with somethings it might invalidate the warranty.
