:( Yeah I knew about Pioneer stopping plasma production, but every time I read this online it makes me sad... KURO models are just amazingly excellent. People should buy them as far as they are available...

I'm hoping in time Apple will loosen up their restrictions for third party developers or make the iPhone more like a computer where it can handle the multitasking of various applications at once. From a stability issue on this new "platform" for developers I get their concerns. Back in the OS 9 days there was nothing more annoying to have someone complain complain complain about how unstable their machine was only to find it loaded with silly little applications that weren't part of their working environment. From After Dark screen savers to mods that gave your Mac themes and weird Finder add-ons. This is the kind of stuff that people do to their phones (I know as I did it to my Palm based Treo). You get enough of those things going and your stable phone becomes glitchy and unreliable. Apple is trying to get a firm place in the market and doesn't want bad press about glitchy phones, especially if it's created by third party apps.
