One of the best parts of Snapchat are its fun filters that alter the shape and look of your face. To us, it's completely normal to see bug-eyed photos. But for those who don't Snapchat [1] — like parents — it might be a little confusing or freaky to see filters, a lesson one mom learned really quickly.

Rebecca Wyn Owen from Manchester, UK, messed with her mom by using a filter and getting a hilarious text exchange out of it. She sent a picture of herself on WhatsApp using the square head filter to her mom. The mom was legitimately concerned that Rebecca needed medical attention and sent her all sorts of advice and questions. Since posting the texts in a Facebook post [2] on June 20, it has more than 8,000 shares and reactions.
