Kepler is a planet-hunting telescope that is back in action! NASA's spacecraft has spotted its first new alien planet, called HIP 116454b, that many researchers call the "super Earth." It is 2.5 times as large and follows a star that is smaller and cooler than our sun.

We've got extraterrestrials on the brain — so in this episode of The Sync Up, we spoke to Elisa Quintana of the SETI Institute, a nonprofit organization at NASA's Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, CA that studies the possibility of extraterrestrial life, to find out: Are humans alone in the universe?
