Do You Have a Blog?

Blogging platform Tumblr has just introduced some new features for its users, and I think it may have edged out Blogger as my favorite blogging tool (though WordPress and TypePad are pretty great, too). Though I don't have a blogging account on either site, I follow many blogs on those platforms and really marvel at their ease of use.

Anyway, it got me thinking: Do you blog? And if you do, is it about a certain subject or is it a more personal journal? Shout it out and tell me what platform you use, what you like about it and your addy if you want. I promise not to be as critical of it as I was about Dylan Krieger's Quarterlife blog!

I used to use blogspot but then I stopped & deleted my blog ( Just on random topics). Now that I have a site, I just blog from there. Maybe one of these days I'll create my blogger again. But for now I just do short little posts. Check it out:

Yay! It's great to see so many bloggers on here! :) I myself am a blogger, mostly about wedding inspiration, ideas, thoughts and all things creative. :) I use Wordpress & love it! And of course, I've linked many of the sugar sites to my blogroll. :)

I'm on tumblr, and I usually just talk about my interests in crafting/diy, gardening, grad school/psych and travel. Plus I tend to plug things I find and love on the internets. Sometimes I write personal musings, but not too often.

Oh and I forgot about Lj's very comprehensive security settings! I like that you can make custom friends groups so you can choose which people can view specific entries. I sometimes make posts about work and other more personal stuff, and I make them restricted-access so only my close friends and family can view them.

I've had my Livejournal since 2002. I like Lj because of the community aspect, the friends list, and the way it organizes and informs you of comments. :)

I've been blogging since around '00. That was before blogs and CSS were so widely used, so I manually updated it and changed all the links and calendar on my website every time I posted. I move around once in a while b/c I liked to try new things (I don't bother with a personal domain anymore), and I just started using Tumblr a couple of weeks ago. I love it! I just blog about whatever is on my mind. It's an easy way for me to tell everyone (who bothers reading it) something at once, and not to annoy people by talking so much. :)

Mine is a smattering of celeb/tv/music/movie/90's reminiscing/tech. I use WordPress and I'm still trying to figure out how to move it all to my own server and make it more customized. Check it!

I have had this LJ for a few years: I use it to update penpals on things going on, do a "best of the week" (over due now!) and i like to check out different communities in my friends page. I am also in the process of launching a website that is going to be mostly a blog for the moment (until we get a business license to sell stuff): for design and environmental and other related stuffs. i'm doing it with my best friend/roommie. Its slow going as i have so much school stuff to do.

I've had a blog since 2001 though I have switched the domain a few times and started fresh. I use Wordpress and prefer it over all other platforms because it has the most options for customizing it. For the most part it's just personal stuff that I don't really share with anyone I know in real life. I love that I can just put something out there and get unbiased feedback.

I have a Livejournal. It's for fun, mostly just daily chatter. I like LJ for the reasons listed by someone above - the Friends page and the nestling comments.

I blog about Jane Austen (her novels, film adaptations, and other writer's sequels & spin-offs) at Austen-tatious: A Jane Austen Fan Blog Sometimes I think I'd like to switch from Blogger to typepad, but I've been using this for 4 years and don't want to deal with the trouble of moving everything, creating a new layout, learning new menus, etc. I just do this for fun, not money, so it's not worthwhile.

I forgot, I use Wordpress for both blogs. I love have easy it is to use and all the customization it has available. If you know some programming, which my fiance does, you can change everything and have it look exactly the way you want it to.
