Next thing you know, you're uploading photos to Facebook in a drunken stupor. Well, some really smart people at Facebook are working on a new tool that will basically say, "go home, you're drunk," if you are, in fact, drunk. The company's artificial intelligence research team has figured out a way to recognize what your drunken self looks like [1], according to a report from Wired. The feature uses the same technology that automatically recognizes your friends' faces in photos. When it recognizes an incriminating intoxicated photo, it may prompt you with a message that says something like, "This photo is being posted publicly. Are you sure you want your mom to see this?"

If you've ever had alcohol-induced social media regret [2], this tool is going to be the best thing that happened to your Facebook. And it's an especially welcome addition now that you can search through your and your friends' [3] old posts more easily than ever. Phew, crisis averted.
