If mere pictures of celebrities out and about aren't doing it for you anymore, check out Celebrity Places, a new site that couples those same pics with an aerial satellite view map so you can see exactly where your favorite celeb has recently been.
Zimbio, an online entertainment magazine, uses geotagged information from thousands of celeb photos to pinpoint on Bing Maps (the Microsoft search engine's answer to Google Maps) exactly where the famous have stepped and breathed. You can either view recent sightings in slideshow format or sort by person, location (when's the last time Lady Gaga stopped by your hood?), or different categories like sports and entertainment. There's even a Geek category, which at the moment is a jumble of Eric Schmidt lecture sightings, Apple events, and Julian Assange court appearances.
Find out how to map your favorite celebrity's whereabouts after the break.
Since the location info is found from where and when a photo was taken, it's not real-time (no stalking here!), but the photos are recent. Right now, the site has a lot of pictures of stars at public appearances that you've probably already seen — think Katy Perry posing on the Grammys red carpet — but if you have the inclination, you can flip through or sort to find exactly which Starbucks your favorite celeb frequents or see just how close you were to Kim Kardashian during your last shopping trip. And while it doesn't offer the same instantaneous connection to celebrities that Twitter does, it's yet another way technology is demystifying celebrity and connecting fans to fame.
