Fuze Necklace: Totally Geeky or Geek Chic?

ThinkGeek's Fuze necklaces combine the natural beauty of quartz crystal with the geeky beauty of glowing LEDs. The Fuze crystals are hand selected, shaped, and polished and then garnished with an embedded LED that gradually cycles through a range of colors. The glowing crystal is powered by small batteries in the magnetic clasp. The necklace costs $24.99. I've mentally stored this necklace in the "if I ever go to a rave and need something to match my Light Emitting Diode Dress" category, so no, I don't really think it's chic.

Pretty geeky, but I guess it might not look so out of place in one of those rave things.

ya thats what i was thinking brains girl - they would be cool for a rave, but i usually go full on glow sticks anyways, so i dont think i would like a dainty little necklace like this throwing off my game ha ha

:rotfl: LAN parties. I'd much rather LAN than wear one of these, SkinnyMarie.

Maybe we can play a game of magic after the renaissance festival too. Man that live action chess game was InTense. It reminds me too much of the kids in my high school who would wear the tie dyed dragon shirts that had lan parties.

It's not really *chic* and I'd say it's totally geeky, however it's really cool in my opinion. I could probably sit there for hours on end watching it change colors...I am incredibly easily amused...

I saw these at a shop in St. Pete and I they're really really tacky. The one the shop owner had one was blinking and changing colors and whatnot.
