I have an iPhone as well as an Apple PowerBook G4. Does this "free WiFi" apply to mobile users who want to access the web or can this be granted to laptop users as well?

Your privacy will be nil so keep that in mind esp when banking/buying etc. Also, they are considering monitoring all data. Don't get me wrong I love free WiFi...I just like to be secure too. Article http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/surveillance/2008-01-23-att-internet-monitoring_N.htm
