Get Your Game On: December Releases

With visions of Hungry Lumas still dancing in my head and some seriously calloused fingers from shredding it up Guitar Hero style, I would have to say that this has been a satisfying year for gaming indeed. Now that game releases are slowing down to a crawl for the holiday season, there are a few good choices left and a slew of movie-to-game titles if you are looking to pick up something for yourself or trying to cram for last minute gift ideas. Not only are games a great gift, but so are gaming bundles and game rental subscriptions for those budding geeks in your life. Check out these great December releases and stay tuned — as much as we loved gaming in 2007, there's sure to be some amazing things in store for 2008!

RockBand is soooo much better than Guitar Hero 3, by the way. I don't have the drum kit though.

I won't be buying any of those, I'll just keep playing Super Mario Galaxy for now!

Beanalby - you're right - the PS2 bundle you have to wait for, but the game itself is already available in some stores! (although why they sell it separately, I have no clue!)

Rock Band for the PS2 doesn't come out until Dec 18th/19th (depends on where you look). It was originally announced for the 11th but got pushed back late in November, and lots of places have been slow to update it (afaik Best Buy said 11th up until a day or two ago). VERY anxiously waiting to pick that one up.

Ugh, I don't think I like games that come from movies. They tend to be on the sucky side. I remember Nights Into Dreams - on my fave console: the Sega Saturn - so I'm stoked about Journey of Dreams!! My Wii sure is getting a work out this year!
