Google Chrome Takes Over Third Most Used Internet Browser Title From Safari

Google Chrome Tackles Safari For Third Most Used Browser

Just over a year after its launch, Google Chrome has made quite an impact on your Internet browsing. Taking over the title as third most used browser from Safari, Chrome users now inhabit nearly five percent of the browser market, according to a recent report. Although Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser commands over 60 percent of Internet usage, and Firefox takes a 24 percent market share, Chrome has been a fast riser to the top of the browser game.

I use Chrome on a regular basis on my home computer (although it is still a little buggy), but I find it an easy transition to make from Firefox (the browser I use most at work). But what about you — are you using Google Chrome? What do you like or dislike about it?

I love Chrome... officially deleted Firefox a few weeks ago. My bf works for Apple and swears by Safari, but he saw Chrome and commented on how its pretty nice... haha

I've been using Chrome for about 11 months now. I switched exclusively in July, when I found that sites that wouldn't load in Firefox would load in Chrome, and that its pop-up blocker was far superior to that of Firefox. Not to mention it's speedy as all get out! I <3 Chrome! I watch a lot of online TV since I don't have a TV set, and was thrilled when within the last month I quit having to switch to Firefox to watch shows on NBC, FOX, and CBS have all worked in Chrome for a while, and now I'm just waiting on to make it easy for me! I even sent Chrome for Xmas to my friends and family with an urge to try it out 'cause I bed they'd love it!

Yes, it's my predefined browser for a while now. I changed from Firefox because it took forever to start. I also like the simple and uncluttered design. So far the only problem I had with it is that it doesn't warn me when I'm closing more than one tab, but since the most recent closed pages appear on the bottom of the start page, it doesn't bother me at all.

I use Chrome on my mac at home and my pc at work. The only issue I have is that with Safari I could have my rss feeds as bookmarks and I can't do that with Chrome.

I use it exclusively on my netbook (unless I run across an ill-designed website that forces me to use another browser). I don't know if it's true on all machines, but on my computer, at least, it runs faster and smoother than Firefox does. And my start page being a mosaic of all my most-frequented webpages? Brilliant. Now that Chrome's got add-ons, too, I really see no reason at all to return to Firefox.
