This Guy Was Looking For Drugs and Texted the WRONG Person

Sep 19 2015 - 10:30am

If you've ever sent a disastrous text to the wrong person, you've probably experienced heart palpitations and sweaty palms as a result. But for William Lamberson, the aftermath of a wrong text was much worse. The 29-year-old man was in search of weed and texted the number supposedly belonging to a person he'd met at a 7-Eleven. Unfortunately, that number did not belong to a supplier but to a police captain who works in the narcotics unit for the Martin Country Sheriff's Office in Florida. The police department shared the entire conversation on its Facebook page [1], and it's since gone viral. Read to see how it all went down.

The first texts . . .

William wanted some weed.

The officer turned it around and asked for some blow.

William agreed to help a brotha out.

We don't know how William got the officer's number, but we do know how it ended.

"He was arrested, and charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell," wrote the police department on its Facebook page. "It's probably a good time to let Mr. Lamberson know he had the wrong number."
