High-Tech Luxury Bathroom: Love or Leave?

Would you love to have a bathroom that is decked out with all the latest gadgets? Imagine having a bathtub like this one I spotted on Bornrich. The Splash is a 17-inch wide screen, water-resistant LCD TV that comes with a 176-degrees horizontal and vertical viewing angle and an iPod docking station. As much as I'd love to say that it'd be great to watch television while taking a bath, I prefer complete serenity— zero technology and noise. Now the iPod dock is a different story, because rocking out while getting ready is always fun. What do you think? Is it over-the-top to have technology in the bathroom?

cool but weird, the last thing u want to hear/see when ur taking a dump is an annoying commercial

It looks like fun, but will probably have to wait until I have a lot of spare money laying around! :)

Leave it? I would NEVER leave it which may cause a few problems like perpetually pruned fingers and toes.

I really love it. Although, I think having a TV in there might make me spend too much time in the tub...
i always talk about how when i get to have my first custom home, i really really want a tv installed in the bathroom right above the bathtub. sometimes now when i relax i take the portable tv in there with me... good for those days i need to just not think anymore and veg out

I would love a TV in my bathroom, but if you're going to try to make your bathroom more relaxing, why not get a better tub? Do that first, THEN buy the TV!

"I ask for a TV in the tub about once a week" hehe sounds like you mean in as in on and you in the bath as in.. yeah okay I think you get the drift :) It sounds like a awesome idea, a nice relaxing bath and watching tv sign me up

I think it's neat but I personally wouldn't want one because I think of my bath time as a quite time so I'd prefer to just relax with some music or a great book.

If it's a shower, it might encourage people to waste water. Personally, I like to just get ready and get out, so I don't have any use for it. I'd rather use the money somewhere I spend more than a fraction of my day.

This looks cool, I'd love to have a TV to watch while I was taking a bath. Watching TV and taking a bath = a lot of relaxation. My whole body would probably turn into a prune because I'd want to stay in there so long. :-)

Love it. I often drag my laptop into the bathroom so that I can watch vids while taking my bath.

I'd go for the iPod dock but not a tv.
