You've probably noticed most of your friends are enjoying Instagram's live video feature [1] — mostly because you won't stop getting notifications about it. While it might be nice to know when your favorite celebrities — or your crush — are broadcasting live, you could probably live without being notified the next time your neighbor wants to ramble about how bored they are on a Friday night. We feel your pain, so we did some digging to find out how to turn off those pesky notifications. Follow our step-by-step guide ahead.

First, go to your profile page on the app and then tap on the Settings icon in the top right corner.

On the Options page, scroll down to the Settings field and tap on "Push Notifications Settings."

On the Notifications page, scroll down to the Live Videos field and tap on the off option.

Voila! No more annoying Instagram live notifications.
