The first day of Summer is kicking off with an unusual treat later this evening. You'll be able to see a rare Strawberry Moon, which happens when there's a full moon during a Summer solstice, at 8 p.m. EDT. The peak of the solstice, which is the longest day of the year, takes place at 6:34 p.m.

According to The Old Farmer's Almanac [1], a Strawberry Moon indicated harvest times for ancient tribes; it also claims that the last one was 70 years ago.
