It's no secret just how much Instagram photos are curated, edited, and set up to create a perfect illusion of our lives. Plenty of Instagram accounts [1] have gone viral because they make fun [2] of this lifestyle, but very few try to show just how much work goes into making up this illusion.

One Thailand-based photographer, Chompoo Baritone [3], is doing just that on Facebook by capturing the entire scene of what an Instagram photo looks like outside of the app in her project called "Slow Life." [4] It's not terrible that we all try to make our lives look a little more interesting on Instagram — it can almost make us feel a little better about our days and the life we want to live. So although we might not want to show just how messy our actual lives are [5], it's nice to be reminded that we're all doing the same thing on social media. Check out the photos ahead.
