Mac App Store Only For Mac

Apple: Mac App Store is Just For Mac

After yesterday's Back to the Mac presentation, I was excited to dive into more of the Lion OS details. In particular, the Mac App Store. We already know that the Mac App Store will allow you to download your favorite portable apps to your Mac, provide automatic updates, and share apps between all of your Macs. But what about your mobile devices? Will you be allowed to transfer or share apps you've purchased on your iPhone or iPad to your Mac?

Unfortunately the answer is no, you won't be able to transfer or share apps between mobile devices and your desktop or laptops. Will that change in the future? At this point it's unlikely, but that model seems to work out just fine for Amazon and its Kindle!
