While it is good, even necessary to keep up with technology from as early an age as possible it must also be of importance that the old basic paper and pencil skills are honed. Or are these skills to be abandoned for geekary? Will the ordinary use of the written word eventually become part of the art class curriculum as a separate subject in the creative arts dept? And what will happen when the shit hits the fan and we have tech meltdown, shall we start the next New Order with slate and chalk again? Tech is good, long live tech but don't abandon the pencil and chalk just yet!
