Namechk Tells You If Your Username Is Taken on a Social Networking Site

Namechk Tells You If Your Username Is Still Available

We all have that one favorite username that we use across all of our social networks, so what happens when you realize your name is taken? The horror! Before you endure the painstaking task of typing send to see if your username is available, there's a site called namechk that will do the grunt work for you. When I saw this site on Mashable, I literally had an ah-ha moment, since I now know what sites I'll have to use alternate names for. Just type in your preferred name and namechk will reveal what sites you can still sign up for — with your awesome username.

Someone else is using my username on Blogger.com and Tribe (whatever that is) but other than that it's either free or I've taken it. :) Cool.

It's funny to look through and see who else uses this screen name. Apparently people in Japan, France and the Phillipines use this screen name. Random. :D And it's also a good way to remember what I've signed up for... which according to this, is nothing.
