Pre-Weekend update! Netflix will offer up some of NBC's archived TV shows on its streaming video service. The best bit? Subscribers will have access to every episode of Saturday Night Live (we're talking Gilda Radner through Molly Shannon) including the current season's Saturday broadcast on Sunday a.m. This is the first time that current TV shows will be available through the Netflix service.

Episodes of recent seasons — but not current — of The Office and 30 Rock will be streamable, and Battlestar geeks will have access to the entire Battlestar Galactica series. The news was announced on the heels of the Netflix CEO sharing the company will soon allow a streaming-only subscription option, too. So, who needs cable when you can get last night's SNL on Netflix and movies and current shows online?
