New Amazon Like Button

Amazon Testing a Like Button Similar to Facebook's

Have you seen the elusive Amazon Like button? Apparently, it's been popping up for some Amazon users but has yet to go mainstream. The button, which appears next to products, resembles Facebook's Like button with a thumbs-up icon. Once you Like a product on Amazon, the button changes color and gives the option to include it in the product's recommendations.

The buttons are currently surfacing most often on Amazon's book pages. And while they don't appear to be connected to Facebook's similar functionality, it could possibly tie into the social network thanks to the Amazon/Facebook partnership announced earlier this year.
