The Oxford English Dictionary just ushered in a list of new words that reflect the changing times, words like moobs, jagoff, and resting b*tch face. This year's additions are pretty similar to last year's [1] in that both batches are colloquial and ridiculous. An acronym for "you only live once," it's used to urge people to live their best lives, i.e. take a cue from DJ Khaled.
Shoplifting
The act of stealing something from a store without paying for it. Something Joanne the Scammer [5] would do.
Vom
A shorter way of saying vomit or to explain that someone is in the act of vomiting.
Biatch
A sassier interpretation of "bitch," popularized in the early 2000s.
Resting B*tch Face
A facial expression that exudes annoyance even when the person doesn't mean to . . . or do they?
Jagoff
An obnoxious and rude person who is usually characterized as a man.
Squee
A screech that comes out when you're really excited about something.
'Merica
A shorter and debatably more patriotic way of saying America.
Moobs
As you might have guessed, moobs is a slang word for "man boobs."
Clickbait
A story or piece of content that hooks you in with an alluring or enigmatic headline. The story may — but probably won't — deliver.
Clicktivism
The use of the internet and social media as a means of social or political activism.
