Set your clocks and alarms: the new iPhone 7 is officially arriving on Sept. 7 [1]. Apple sent out invites on Aug. 29.
The Apple event will debut the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The new iPhone 7 is expected to drop the headphone jack [2] and include a new pressure-sensitive button [3] similar to Force Touch [4]. The iPhone 7 Plus will also come with a dual camera lens for better photos and possibly in a blue color model [5].
New iPhones aren't the only announcements to come on Sept. 7. The company will most likely announce or release iOS 10, macOS Sierra, watch OS3, and an update to tvOS [6]. For now, we'll have to wait a few more weeks to see what rumors are confirmed.
