For those that wrangled a Google+ invitation, add some personal pizazz to the account with a Gplus.to vanity URL. Similar to the vanity URL option Facebook introduced several years ago, now's the time for early adopters to secure a personalized URL in an easy-to-share format.
Currently, Google+ profiles look like this: plus.google.com/random string of 21 numbers. Gplus.to allows the user to generate a personalized gplus.to/MyName URL. The site is actually made by a third-party developer, so essentially you're creating a vanity link to your profile rather than actually changing the Google+ profile URL. Google doesn't officially allow vanity URLs yet in an effort to thwart potential email spammers.
To create a vanity link, simply enter a nickname and the 21 digit Google+ ID number to the Gplus.to website. Voilà! A shareable link to alert your social network to your new social network.
