I leave way too many appliances plugged in when they're not in use, so something like this would probably be my saving grace. Designed by Shane Ellis and Terry Brown, the glowing electrical socket keeps every gadget guru eco-chic by letting you know when an outlet is drawing current. An LED will slowly light up to indicate that the current is getting stronger and therefore wasting a lot of energy. If you don't want the indicator turned on, you can turn it off via a button on the bottom of the socket. I kinda like the pink color, so maybe if it came in an ugly color, I would be forced to unplug!
