This Girl Named Her Pokémon Based on What Autocorrect Says, and the Results Are Glorious

Aug 9 2016 - 12:45pm

Playing Pokémon Go is full of decisions you need to make — like when to catch a Pokémon [1], which one to start with [2], and how to level up [3] — matters any fan knows are serious [4]. Of course, the ultimate choice might be what nickname to give your Pokémon, an idea one player decided to have a lot of fun with by using autocorrect.

Twitter user Adnelle tweeted a series of photos [5] on July 8 of how she's using autocorrect to name her Pokémon. As you can imagine, the results are hilarious. There's Keith, Gilbert, Highly Roids, Boobs Azuma, and so much more. And because the internet is a wonderful place, other people joined in on the fun and are tweeting photos of their Pokémon names using autocorrect.

Check out examples ahead — we won't be surprised if you start doing this to your Pokémon too.

The original tweet that started it all.

"Highly Roids" might be the best name ever.

But then again, Nachos is pretty solid.

I mean, what can top "Nacho me"?

You need to try this.

Aww, little MacBook!

The names are really giving us an insight into people's lives.

"Pug ottoman" sounds pretty adorable.

But can Keanu dodge a bullet?!

People are really glad they tried this.

Pudgy is a pretty accurate name for Pidgey.

You might even learn a new word!

It's OK if you're laughing/crying at this point.

Try this ASAP and live a new kind of Pokémon Go life!
