Google Gives Pokémon Fans the Best Prize Ever

Lest you think Google just throws a contest/April Fools' Day joke as epic as finding all of Google Maps' hidden Pokémon without any intent of awarding a prize, the tech company has been quietly certifying Masters who caught 'em all. Real-world trainers had to find 151 Pokémon characters using the Google Maps app to qualify for this honored distinction.

This Pokémon Master certification was awarded to Reddit user tinygrump, who took the extra step of completing a form Google offered (which many people didn't realize existed) to make catching them all official. Lesson learned: becoming a Master isn't just tracking down each character, but also reading all the directions. Congratulations, Google-certified Masters! Source: Reddit user tinygrump
