Polaroid Announces Relaunch of One Step Camera and New Instant Film in 2010

Victory Is Ours: Polaroid Announces Relaunch of Camera, Film

I once asked you if you would jump on board if Polaroid were revived — an overwhelming amount of you said yes. Well hold on to your hats, photo geeks, cause it's on its way! At a press conference today in Hong Kong, Polaroid announced that they will be re-launching the One Step camera and allowing The Impossible Project (a group of former Polaroid employees who have been working to revive the medium and who also released the last of the instant film to Urban Outfitters earlier this year) to produce a limited amount of instant black and white and color film in 2010. No more tears on those Polaroid notepads my friends, you'll get the real thing soon enough.

In addition to the exciting launch, Polaroid is releasing a limited edition Celebration Kit ($450) on Friday, October 16 for the ultimate instant camera connoisseur. The kit includes an original SX-70 camera, two collectible film packs, and a few other commemorative items. So — are you as excited about this news as I am?
