Princeton, Other Colleges Ban iPad

Princeton Bans iPads, Too

First Israel, now Princeton? Apparently the university has banned iPads, citing security issues. Both George Washington University and Princeton are banning the devices from campuses, and Cornell admits to worries over connectivity and bandwidth overload.

The iPad has been touted by Apple (and others) as being an excellent tool for education, so I'm curious what this ban will mean for the device's future. Though I'm inclined to say that these universities should just step up their WiFi connectivity instead of banning iPads altogether, I don't think those types of devices are going to fall off the radar any time soon.

That really doesn't make sense. The article says iPads, iPhones, and iPods can't connect to the wireless internet at GWU, but I've never had any trouble connecting to the wireless internet at my school on my iPod touch. It seems like they just need to update their wireless or something like that.
