Receive Local Amber Alerts Via Facebook

Amber Alerts Added to Facebook's News Feed

Since so many Americans get their news from social sites like Facebook, it makes sense for as many people and organizations as possible to leverage their reach using the social network. And now that officially includes government-issued Amber Alerts. Users can sign up to receive the alerts, which are organized on Facebook through 53 different pages (one for each state, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands) through Facebook's main Amber Alert page.

The new pages were created through a partnership with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. To receive local Amber Alerts, just "like" the page(s) for your state or region. Alerts will be displayed within your news feed.
