Rent a Textbook With Chegg

Back-to-School Tip: Rent Textbooks From Your iPhone

I'm already a big fan of Chegg, the Netflix-like website that lets you rent textbooks on the cheap, and now the company is letting you take textbook shopping on the go with its new Chegg app (Free).

Textbooks can be a major expense for incoming students, and not only will renting (or "borrowing") a book save you money, but you'll help save the planet as well. Find out how the Chegg iPhone app works after the jump.

With the free app, you can easily search for textbooks you need by title or author, or scan the barcode to compare prices and availability straight from the student store. Once you find the title you need, reserve and rent the book right from the app, track shipments, and extend if you need it longer. Plus, the Chegg app will even tell you where the nearest UPS store is to your location for quick returns.

I agreed that the textbook prices are skyrocketing and some of my textbooks cost over $230! I found a website that saved me huge money, Dealoz.com It compares 200 book prices and provides free coupons. The cool thing about it is that I don't need to wait in line to buy textbooks at school. This website even provides LiveChat to help you while you shop online.
