Skooba DIY Laptop Sleeve

DIY Laptop Sleeves: Love It or Leave It?

I like doing art projects and scribbling on the weekends to balance my time spent in front of the computer during the week. It's not that I don't love the Internet, because I always enjoy time spent cruising websites and stores, but I do think it's important to strive to be creative away from the computer — even for geeks like myself. That's why I love the DIY Laptop Sleeves, $39.99, which are made of bare canvas. Sure, the designs will never look professional and completely polished, but it's a fun idea and art project for kids of all ages.

I don't want one, but that sounds fun for people who are artistic.

I think this is better in theory than execution because yeah, omg, how cool would it be to design your own laptop sleeve, but honestly, wouldn't you get the same satisfaction from like at $5 canvas tote bag?

i would totally doodle all over this thing. i used to do that with my folders in middle school and it was my favorite way to not pay attention. this thing is going on my christmas list.

this totally reminds me of high school when we would use brown paper bags to cover our books, and then draw all over them! personally, i dig it

This would be so much pressure to do something cool ;-) I would flop horribly and put something lame on it, I know. I LOVE the idea of it and would love to see what people do with theirs.

A blank canvas has so much possibility! I'd probably end up doing them as gifts for friends too! LOL

I can't draw very well, or implement designs onto paper, so my case would look like crap. Also, if I'm going to spend the money, why not spend it on something I actually like.
